Did Yahoo! Answers remove the comment section?!?

Like the question states. I am unable to comment to any of the answers! Is it a bug, or did they purposefully remove our capability to comment on other peoples' answers?

Update:

@y Obviously I was going to comment to your answer, but I forgot that the question is exactly about this issue! LOL! Can you please elaborate? (You can just edit your answer if you want. Add to it, etc.).

Yes. As has already been said in the answer where they quoted the banner on the UK YA homepage, Verizon Media, NOT Yahoo or Yahoo Answers, has suspended comments on answers. Commenting on news?articles has also been suspended. Most of us?are assuming Verizon Media has done this because of concern. About security of the website around the US presidential election in early November. Yahoo did EXACTLY THE SAME THING in 2016 and 2012 for news articles. That was long before commenting on answers was possible.

Take a look at the Politics subcategory. It is almost entity statements, editorials. insults. threats and racial slurs. There are most NO legitimate questions, and most of those are bait and fish "Gotcha!!!" questions.

ONE or 2 People have posted a screen shot of that banner in their answers to this question.

NONE of us know whether this going to be temporary for 3 or 4 months or permanent. That MIGHT depend on the responses Bverizon Media, NOT YAHOO, gets to the email address yahoocommentsfeedback@verizonmedia.com.

It was p posted about 12:30 am EDT THURSDAY morning, each would have still been Wednesday night in most of the USA.

Sadly yes, the idiot apparently cried enough times... and his little dog goes "woof woof" in other words, "help me! I'm stuck in this psychotic man's house!"

Clearly they did, as evidenced by the dozens of questions already posted in the YA subcategory about that very thing. The site is organized by categories and has a search feature so users can look to see if their question has been asked/answered already, and thus not ask something that has been covered MANY times already.
