Evolutionists:  Why do you try to deny the existence of the word "evolutionist?"  It describes a belief system?

Baptist, Seventh Day Adventist, Maoist are belief systems.  Yahoo search the forbidden word and you will get 397,000 hits like I did

Evolution is No : "fact" . A Theory. Very few in science are Laws--only Newton's 3. That's the problem, a theory can changed to fit new facts. Faith Cannot,. Faith isnt a suit you try on to sew what "fits". Ev.  might be a Theory  Based on facts, but Not necessarily a fact in itself. This is a serious misinterpretation of simple logic.

Those who  "disagree",  Show your "proof". I bet a dollar it is only theories. Evolution is Only Proven in variation Within a species. Not without. The thousands of mussing links even from a frog to a bird never have been found. The few to Man have been frauds, Dr. Leakey Admitted Lucy was from 3 different chimp skeletons from miles apart. The loss of white moths in England  is due to the whites being Seen and Eaten, first, they show on sooty trees due to  pollution. The  grey phase  of the Same Species, is not seen and survives.

I concur. Adding "-ist" describes a belief system. But the belief system described is often very different from believing in the root term.

Creationists do believe in creation, but the term "creationist" does not describe a believer in creation. It describes someone who rejects the theory of evolution.

The parallel use for "evolutionist" would not, then, describe anyone who accepts the theory of evolution. It would describe someone who rejects the belief in creation. This case is more complicated, because the theory of evolution is, in fact, proven twice over; it's not a belief system. But that's why restricting the term "evolutionist" to describing a belief system is useful.

I believe in creation. But I am not a creationist; I also am well aware that the theory of evolution has two independent proofs. It happened, at least on this planet.

I am not an evolutionist. I have no need to believe in evolution, because I have access to proofs. Nor do I find in the theory of evolution any basis for not believing in creation.

    Correction.

"Evolutionist" is a hypothetical belief system,

that, so far, nobody has actually observed,

    in the wild.

But, I understand it is alive and well,

    in your imagination.

Not everything is known about evolution, so you are right that there is still some room that has to be filled in by belief.

If you were following a trail through the woods and the markers were 100 yards apart.  There would be quite a lot of faith and belief to follow that trail.  You could get lost.

Now it there was another trail in which the markers were only 1 yard apart, it would be possible to still get lost, but you are much more likely to stay on the trail.

Facts are the trail markers of any theory and the more of them we have, the easier it is to find the whole truth.  Evolution has lots of 'markers', but we do not have the whole story ....yet.

It isn't a scientific term..it was invented by superstious folks..the same with atheist..if superstious folks looked inwardly they would realise that there would be no such thing as atheist or evolutionist if it were not for their superstiion..

Science is not about belief, its about facts.  Rational people don't "believe" in evolution, they accept the facts.
