SCOTUS CONFIRMATION     How would these hearings be different if the nominated Judge could ask those questioning them questions? ?

This would include all previous votes, relationships, even innuendoes, changes of stance, potential voting decisions and most of all CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTINS

Update:

There should not be a confirmation in 2020 at all. The Republican statements in 2016 make them liars and hypocrites now. As to your question, this is like a job interview. The interviewee has no reason to ask the questions.
