can a "low straight flush" hand beat "4 aces" in poker?
i know a Royal Flush or a.k.a. High Straight Flush (10 - J - Q - K - A) is the best possible hand, but if the straight hand contains low numbers/cards :
player A : 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 7
player B : 4 Aces

ANY straight flush beats 4-of-a-kind in Poker, regardless of what the "high card" in the hand is.
In your example, Player A (w/ the Straight Flush) beats Player B (w/ 4-of-a-kind), even though Player B has all aces.
The only time the "high card" comes into play if both players have the same type of hand.
> If Player A has 4 Jacks to Player B's 4 Aces, Player B would win on the high card (J vs A).
> If Player A has 7-High Straight Flush (7-6-5-4-3) to Player B's 10-High Straight Flush (10-9-8-7-6), Player B would win on the high card (7 vs 10).

No, the higher cards are better. Basically whoever has the most aces wins, then kings, queens, etc. Except for if you have 2 or more deuces. Deuces never loses.

Player A would most certainly win since straight flush ranks higher than Four of a Kind.

A high straight flush beats a low straight flush.
But even the lowest possible straight flush still beats everything else.
