The government is considering tougher lockdown restrictions, what could they be?

We are already under tier4 where I live.

I hope martial law would be imposed, but I'd settle for harsher penalties for those who flaunt the rules because fines are no deterrent.

We must get them locked up with 2 year sentences and fast track the process to special Crown Court sessions.  Once these morons see people losing their freedom they will obey the law. Discipline is the key to beating Covid-19.

We could reopen the local prisons that dopey Cameron shut down and put all the bad eggs in one covid breach prisons.

we gat a f//kin insane government

They knew several weeks ago that 2 vaccines were up for approval . And what did they do?

     F//k all as usual

the ONLY orders they had at that time were pre-approval orders ( ie they only applied AFTER the vaccines were approved and for small numbers of doses (in case they WERENT approved

     And what does that mean?

It means they have ONLY JUST raised larger orders

THATS why thick as a brick Bojo says he "expects" millions of doses to be given over the next 12 WEEKS - THATS 3 months

AND the "expects" meains he cannot be sure the doses will actually arrive in the quantities ordered - OR there wont be enough people to give them

(how many times in the last 6 months has bojo promised this or that but never delivered - remember the "world beating" track and trace he promised?

NOW just give it a minutes thought -

    you are the prime minister

you have vaccines up for approval .

the only orders for themare only for small quantities AFTER they are apprved

Not it dont take an einstein to work out THIS is just wasting time

Why not order MILLLIONS of doses to be delivered asap - so they are ready to be used the day after approval

IF they aint approved what have you lost? = maybe a few £million (the goverment had to BORROW 36 BILLION in november- so millions more would be a drop in the ocean

But the key would be - WE would NOW be administering MILLLIONS of doses each week and NOT having to wait for 3 MONTHS

NOW think about the effect on the country of even worse "lockdowns" (on both finances and the faith of people)

AND the increase in deaths over those 3 months

(government figures - 4200 died over the past 7 days

I make it that those 12 weeks could add another 50THOUSAND deaths - AND FOR WHAT?

cos of the GROSS incompetence of Bojo and his cronies)

(I really gotta say this again - I have NEVER seen a minister MORE incompetent and out of his depth than Hancock (health secretary HE always looks like somebody waiting for somebody to tell him what to do , and has NEVER got 1 thing right in the last 12 months)

If this government tries to take more freedoms away from the people there will be uprisings. It's already started in some places

To screw over the citizens of this country and small businesses and allow their buddies and pals who run mega businesses like walmart, target, home depot, Lowe's, Amazon and anything in between. To continue to become richer while us middle class working people who keep this country moving forward lose more and more freedom, liberties and are mom and pop business and financial stability go undy

Harsher penalties for the selfish ignorant kunts who flout the rules and stricter enforcement would be a good start. Their behaviour is undermining the sacrifices being made by individuals, families and businesses to control the spread of the virus and putting the NHS and its staff under intolerable pressure. I would like to see tear gas and water cannon used on them if they threaten police.

I am in Tier 4 and surprised how many people are hanging about on the streets. The police/army could enforce the stay at home message. I am not a great one for enforcement but I hope the border police pull over the irresponsible Covidiots who went to France for an illegal rave and they are forcibly quarantined on their return.

Closing schools. They generate hundreds of unnecessary people movements; even more so in country areas, where the catchment area includes dozens of villages and even small towns, and people drive their kids in and drive back again to collect them, doing shopping on the trip.

He could bring in the army if people continue to flaunt the rules.

The only real difference would be closing the schools and shielding the vulnerable.
