Why can't America elect a normal African-American to high office? Obama wasn't and Harris is not.?
Normal being an African-American who was a descendant of slaves. Neither Obama or Harris were slave descendants.
Between 70% and 90% of blacks in America are descendants of American slaves. Obama and Harris are not.
Most African-Americans are black and not mixed. Obama and Harris are mixed.
Black-Jamaicans are not African-Americans.

Maybe average is a better word than normal none of our presidents have been average and the controversy over Obama's credentials he takes wide advantage of at every opportunity

Harris's father is a descendant of African slaves. She was born in America. So how is she not African-American?
