Why is Lisa in a kpop Group?

Why is Lisa BLACKPINK in a kpop group when shes not even Korean? I thought you had to be Korean to be in a kpop group, but Lisa is from Thailand. Does anybody know why Lisa is in BLACKPINK when shes not even Korean?

    Same reason MnM tries to be a ghetto rapper and he ain't even Chinese.

    Maybe Lisa is Thai-pop...

    There is no law that stipulates that one has to be a Korean citizen or of Korean descent to be signed by a Korean entertainment company. There are people from several different ethnic backgrounds who hold citizenship in several different countries signed to Korean entertainment companies.
