Do you regret picking up your first cigarette?

Are you like me a person that's been an addict to cigarettes for the last 40 years and spent $300,000 on them. Do you regret not listening to Mommy and Daddy and your teacher and the warning on the side of your cigarettes not to smoke

    YES.

Because if not for that 1st coffin nail , my life would have been tobacco free. A record I would have been proud of.

But it was a dark night in that moving van that stopped to pick us up in Santa Barbara in 1968. . When we climbed into the back we were surprised to find 4 other hitchhiker's that had been picked up in Oxnard.  All the furniture and all of us headed to San Francisco that night.  Someone had some grass and it was shared all around.  When it was once again my turn to take a hit , it really tasted more like s_it then the regular  MJ did.  Then someone said that they'd run out of weed , and passed around a cigarette instead.

53 years later that remains my single and only drag ever on a cig.

I still regret losing my cig. "cherry" , from no fault of my own.  We were let out right on Market St. How sweet it was.
