Is deployment to the Trump protection detail now considered a punishment posting in the Secret Service ?

I would consider being assigned to that detail as being exiled from the big world of the SS as after that you'd be considered compromised and forever "tainted" by association with ex-President Trump.

No, and it isn't only the Secret Service that is on his protection detail.
