If the Supreme Court were the ones to judge on the impeachment what would the verdict have been?

The Supreme Court have lifetime appointments so they never have to worry about the next election enabling them to be fairly unbiased.  Would they deem a trial post inauguration Constitutional, and if so, how do you think they would vote?

I do not think that the Senate should have the power to make these decisions since politics interferes with opinion.

Update:

@Jeff - The Supreme Court deals with Constitutional matters, not common criminal trials.

There is little doubt that the Republican members of the senate have served the constitution badly ,by its partisan approach to judging Trump.

Even before the evidence was heard in both impeachment trials ,Republican senators made it clear what their decision would be.

The  Founding Fathers never envisaged that --they thought that senators would always put the law and the country ,before partisan politics and their own self interests

But they were wrong . There is ,therefore , much to be said for taking away such decisions on Constitutional law  away from them.

Why do you want to involve the Supreme Court in what should be a criminal matter?  Trump is a private citizen.  If you have any evidence that he's committed a crime, contact your local state or federal DA.  I'm sure they'll be glad to hear from you.
