What  is the most expensive thing you have bought off Ebay?

I just bought a Swarovski crystal piece......originally $600.......but now retired, and  most sellers asking over $2000.......but I found a seller only asking $1,100......and talked them down to $900  and she accepted the offer. 

Alas, when I got it,  easy to see why her price was so low, and so eager to take the discount.....there was a tiny, microscopic pinhead prick on it.... which would have rendered it worthless to any serious collector. 

But it would be barely noticeable on display, of course......but still, she advertised as MINT, and it clearly wasn't.....so I complained, and she offered another $150  refund......... so,  $750,  seemed fair then.....since the piece can't be had for less than  $1,500,-$2000 these days. 

I can live with the pinhead prick, since my intention isn't to re-sell, and just wanted to complete the series. 

so, only $750, with another $50 for postage........so, $800. 

That's been my most expensive EBAY  buy  so far.  But many others in the $500-$600 range. 

In real dollars, might have been a 2x speed CD Writer drive for $104.  And it was a bargain at the time.  It was before Paypal integration, so buyer and seller manually communicated to arrange payment.

Lots and lots of shoes. 

A pair of grey authentic Ugg short boots with satin bows as a Christmas gift for my mum. It costed between $200-$400.

 A Karaoke system for my daughter..... Came from china and never turned up.....

Some wheels for my car , £450.

funny how people will pay for something worth $5 , guess you like the brand name  .

Last year when I bought my GPU, a second-hand Power Color Red Devil RX 5700 XT for $350. Looking at the price of that GPU today, I'm glad I got it when I did.

I have not bought anything from eBay until.

A Macro lens for my camera.  It cost around about £470.

A $500 laptop since I've been buying stuff off of eBay I haven't had a problem with something that doesn't meet my expectations I've had to ship a couple items back that didn't work when they arrived. But it only takes about a week to get your money back.
