Is Hawaii a bad state to live in if I have a big fear of spiders?

I'd Google my question but I'm afraid too many pictures would pop up.

I wanna move somewhere else (I hate living here in Illinois)... Prefer NO SNOW and I like Hawaii... I tried Florida, but people said it's not a good place for arachnophobic people... I like Hawaii more (Florida was just closer to my family and friends)... I just.. What is there to be afraid of bug-wise? Are spiders really the size of tuna cans? Should I let arachnophobia dictate where I move?

Since I moved here I've never had any issue with spiders. I have yet to see one.

Cockroaches on the other hand is a different matter, they are HUGE and NASTY. (I destroy them on sight.)

I truly don't think you will have a problem. But I don't know what living arrangements you have.

There are many species of spiders in Hawaii including black widows and brown widows. There are also some very large Cand spiders.

Just never leave any doors or windows open. Keep everything clear of clutter and the outside area to. Put up spider traps.. To keep them away from your house and backyard. It couldnt be that hard.

If you like living a subsistence life in paradise, Hawaii is the state for you. You're either filthy rich, and enjoying life, or you're dirt poor and working for tourists in Hawaii.
