Should I Find a small space to create a studio?

I’m not a professional photographer but I have much knowledge in photography. Would it be a smart idea to lease a small space to make a studio. I currently have no place to shoot in a studio and I’m tired of paying someone for their space  for my photo shoots.

So wouldn't you just be paying someone else for a different space?

It would make sense just as long as the payment on the lease leaves you with a profit at the end of the month.  It would be a good idea, especially if the new space offered you the ability to do more work (quantity and variations) than your current location.

Only you can answer that. We have no idea your budget or how much you have been spending. Don't forget the costs of utilities.

When you lease a place you also pay but 24/7 plus heating, electricity etc. not only for the time you need it.

So if it is cheaper than renting a space just for one shoot mutliple times a month then it might be a thing to consider or if it is more conveniant as you can keep your gear there (at least lights, backdrops and stuff not cameras or computers, maybe) you should consider it.

But as Pearl said: It's up to you in the end.

    Have fun shooting!
