Do people buy a coin grade service for coins bought from the mint in proof condition?
I looked at silver proof $1 coins on usmint.gov an see the same coins on e-bay, but they are graded. Its not enough to buy it as a proof directly from the mint?

You can get a coin straight from the mint that has minor flaws that can affect value in a BIG way. Collectors want the highest-grade coins they can afford.
