What is wrong with my computer? Windows 98 is acting strange?

My computer has progressively lost functionality working worse and worse over time.

A couple years ago AOL quit working to login and I stopped getting the - Welcome , you’ve got mail! Message when I went online in AOL 4.0

I then had to try and get online another way and was able to get a neighbor kid to install a radio antenna on my computer plugged into the scanner port and connect some sort of box to the phone line and this blue/black box with rabbit ears on it.

I then called the phone company to set up internet and they told me I couldn’t use aol and how there was outlook and internet explorer which were used instead of aol 4.0

The internet works like CRAP and most sites still don’t load in internet explorer and outlook 97 doesn’t work with the new email systems very well.

It doesn’t say welcome and say you’ve got mail anymore and I can’t get my email anymore.

What happened? What could be wrong?

Ya know... I felt bad about yahoo shutting down this service UNTIL I SAW THIS question.

Old computers will be always better but, stupid people think that sharing their info with all website companies and make them rich is cool, something that can NOT do with Window 98
I have window 7 and Window 10 was on the table for 150 bucks, a year after and totally free, what changes, nothing, Window 7 not allows cookies or your exactly place where you are living or reside or get info to who you are or what ate, drink and SCHIT, even when you Phucking and as many times you are getting laid down, if you are active or passive you will find in your email since Viagra, alargment penis or delating oil for anal Penetration and not even can call it spam anymore, federal law says that is cool to find these kind of emails even for you 12 years old dauthers, they assumed if she is not Phucking RIGHT now she will any moment.
This is what we got Right bow and because you are using the most secure software, you ain't cool according to all blabermouth motherphuckers to comes here and critize you.
Even Vista Microsoft don't support anymore, call them and see what they says cuz ain't can't help you.

What happened, and what is wrong, is that YOU got stuck in the 'Dark Ages' of computer technology, my friend.  Things have changed a lot over the years.

You should have stuck with a Commodore 64 computer.  If you had, you could get a Wifi adapter for it to get online now.
