    Depends what it is,

    If you're taking a person on a date and are only going there because you have a coupon for two free drinks before 7pm then that's a bit stingy.

    Or if you make someone walk 5 miles because you don't want to spent $10 on a cab.

    I would say being cheap on some things means you can enjoy others. So choose the occasions wisely.

    No and I have the opposite problem, where I'm always cheap and buy something expensive once in a while.
