For the Transmission

What seems to be the problem? The only issues I've had on that year relating to the transmission was with the range switch/neutral safety switch which is mounted on top of the tranny where the shift cable is attached. Ford ran over 30 terminals through the range switch which included the radio and power steering pressure switch. Lucky for me the starter wouldn't work at times. The customer had problems with the power steering not working and the radio shutting off while backing up. After replacing the range switch to get the starter to work the radio and power steering problem never happened again. I would have spent hours trying to diagnose those problems because who in their right mind would run radio and power steering circuits through the range switch?! Fricken Ford's "better ideas" are unbelievable! I've never looked for a relay for the transmission but most vehicles have relay identification charts on the inside of the fuse box cover. If there is a separate relay box check the relay box cover too.
