Did Yahoo Answers shut down because after 26 years they mined enough of our information?

it's because the site isn't profitable enough, and VERIZON isn't willing to invest money to improve it

Clearly not, since YA hasn't existed 26 years. YA has only been around since Dec '05 (open to the public) so that makes it just over 15 yrs old.
