Why does this site right now feel like the last day of school?
You know the last day of school where you don't do anything and the teachers are packing and they make you help them and it is like everyone is ready to run for the hills. That is what it feels like now with this site

Because it is nearly the last day. YA will be open for questions and answers just this weekend and Monday, and then it goes read-only on Tuesday next week. After that, no more YA, starting May 4. It'll be strange to have it gone. Yahoo says they made the decision to shut it down, but I don't buy that, because I happen to know that Yahoo is now owned by Verizon. And the VZ leadership evidently considers YA to not be worth having, so they're getting rid of it.
