How will life change after Yahoo Answers Shuts down ?

So as we all know Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 and being on Yahoo answers means a lot to some people, I know personally I will be upset because of the change because I like this website. How will your life change and will this community move to Twitter or another Question answering website?

We will no longer have a place to anonymously express ourselves and we will forever miss one another.

I already have a list  of projects longer than both my arms.

Filling my time will not be a problem.

and it won't be on the internet.

That depends on the person, as each individual has a different life and will pass the time in a different way (time they would've spent on YA).

I began using Yahoo Answers in early 2008 and felt the peak of the site was from 2009 to 2013.  It began a long decline after the Green to Purple change in 2014 but I basically left the site (returning only intermittently) in the period 2015 to 2016 when it would get left hacked open to all sorts of odious troll input for months at a time.

I'm truly sad to see it go.  I mostly answered questions and think I might have actually helped some people.  I rarely asked questions but almost always got what I thought were helpful answers.

But life isn't going to change much with it gone.  Regular users may feel a bit like a favorite pet they've had from puppy- or kitten-hood has taken the last ride to the vet but they'll eventually get over it...or at last through it.

I honestly don't know what I will do. I've been on here just about every day for over TEN YEARS. What a gap that is going to leave. It was a great treatment for loneliness. I honestly tried to help people and make them laugh. Some of the reactions were priceless and really meant a lot to me.

I'm not kidding when I say that I had a panic attack and cried when I saw the news. Lets hope for a miracle. And a curse on the mean trolls who ruined it for all the rest of us.
