How can frozen meals that are labeled as 'vegan' contain cholesterol in the nutritional information list?

Update:

Thanks! I usually cook without any oils, but with a new job, I started buying a few packaged meals. Might have to start making my meals in bulk!

Because cholesterol and saturated fats come from plant sterol sources as well as animal sources. Plants can have high fat content and stimulate your body's natural cholesterol production. If you went vegan thinking it's cholesterol free and free of saturated fat your are very very wrong. Palm oil, coconut oil, and avocado oils all have saturated fat. Palm oils can be higher in saturated fat and cholesterol than a slab of steak. Palm oils can clog up arteries worse than butter. Butter melts and liquifies at internal body temperature, palm oil doesn't. Butter and milk fats are easily broken down by metabolism, not so much for palm and tropical oils and fats. You need to do a lot more real research and atop making non scientific assumptions.
