What if we (as in US govt) had pulled out of Afghanistan after we got Bin Laden, could the 10 years after that been used instead...?
to assist South American countries
in ridding themselves of the cartels, or whatever else that forces them to seek refuge in our country ?
If we spent those 10 years helping make THEIR country a safer place for them, we might not have half the population of So. America sitting at OUR border right now trying to get in. It would have been hugely and directly beneficial to us, unlike Afghanistan Don't you think?
