What bird species symbolize sorrow and/or sadness?
Hi. I am doing research for a project. I know a bluebird is a symbol of happiness. That being said, what bird species symbolize sorrow and/or sadness, BESIDES mourning doves and ravens?
There is the idiom "gloomy goose", which means "sad person", but geese aren't commonly associated with sorrow and/or sadness.Please help. Thank you.

According to Hank Williams sadness is represented by a whippoorwill . He sounds to blue to fly .
