Does most technology from the US work in the UK?
I recently found a website where you can buy technology from America and have it delivered to the UK. My only concern is will this technology work ok over here in the UK? I remember a few years ago my dad sent an iphone to a relative in Sudan and the iphone didn't work there or at least something about it wasn't working. Could this be an issue with the US to UK too?

Generally it makes more sense to buy in the UK. The plugs will be correct, the guarantee will work and you will not need to pay hefty import and shipping charges. Prices are similar once you have factored in the charges.

There are three types of iPhones sold in the US. One that uses GSM, one that uses CDMA, and one that has both. Here, at&t phone uses gsm, sprint phones uses cdma, and Verizon are unlocked so it can use both. So if your dad bought a sprint phone while Sudan uses gsm, the sprint phone won’t work.
Your main concern is the voltage. The US uses 110 V while UK uses 220 V. You cannot use an adaptor. You will need to use a step down voltage connector (220 to 110) to make the US product work.
Do you know how many things are considered technology so you’ll have to look it up yourself.
