Feminists, are women playing into man's fantasies?

Question

What is the need for female singers to be in shorts and bikinis? That is what sells, you say.
 Sure, a woman is free to wear what she wants. But this is allowing somebody’s else’s perversion to do decide your dress code.This applies to most of women’s fashion ideas too. 
Are you showing your cleavage or thighs to impress you your file female colleagues or ahem.. to attract male eyeballs?Your dressing is playing out a man’s fantasy and you call it freedom for yourself? 
On the contrary, this is the ultimate subjugation - to let your thoughts and actions be controlled by others. And live in the delusion that you are doing it for yourself.

PS: Intelligent and logical answers welcome, not emotional outbursts.

People try to make every post a winner.  We all do.  Your argument breaks down.  Women are not letting their thoughts and actions be controlled by others.  They are TRADING their actions for reward.  Just as every person does in every job.  Which is different from being controlled arbitrarily.

What's telling is that as women have gained more and more power in the music industry the women in the industry have gotten more and more slutty. Back in the 1980 and 1990's most women in the industry were moving to becoming stars that took themselves seriously and didn't dress like a slut, but ever since then it's been a decline into slutty ranchy trash that's now to the point where horrible pro-slut songs like WAP are the biggest hits women put out.

That's not to say there isn't female singers and musicians (they don't always go together) that don't play the part of the slut, but I can't think of any that are mainstream in the US.

I suppose none of this is really surprising though considering what women did with the sexual revolution. I think the truth is that women want to be slutty and men would prefer they not be.

You're right, they should all give up their careers and leave the industry rather then wear what the power structure that controls them dictates.
