Is this ironic, if Christianity didn't use fear of hell to scare people into believing then I would be a Christian?

And not someone who hates Christianity

I made comments on here very anti Christian but the truth is I am not really an Atheist either. It just feels like yes God is love and merciful*

If you accept him*

And THAT's why you're not Christian:  you think anyone can be scared into believing when the only thing fear leads to is CONFORMITY.

God knows a phony when he sees one.

I'm not a Christian because I'm afraid of hell I'm a Christian because I'm afraid of the bad consequences right here right now today if I do the wrong thing something bad happens.

It's nice to have the hope that you'll be resurrected but it's better when you do the right thing right here right now today and you don't wind up in trouble instead good things happen to you that's the reason to be a Christian

Two sides to that coin.  The promise of hope, Romans 8:24 to Christian converts.  And the condemnation of a devil's hell to the unbeliever, John 3:18, John 8:24.

Yep it´s one of the problems believers face.

No, you would not. Christianity promotes the love of God, not the fear of hell.
