  • I understand the British troops are pulling out of the dangerous part of Afghanistan?

Before I add more I am British.

All I have seen on TV is the news that we are pulling out, no explanation as to why?

The Americans will take over that part.

    Why?

I do understand that many lives have been lost, not all British or American but innocent Afghans.

There is no way we can win this war we are just now looking for a way to withdraw without losing face.

This latest withdrawal by the British is demeaning to say the least, what is it all about?

  • Roman emporor constantine, is this a historical fact, any proof?

When he embraced Christianity he gathered all the leaders together and told them to get the new testament corrected so that it would not have so many contradictions, they did this but there were so many contradicts because there were so many books that were in direct confrontation with each other! These were binned altogether.

    Any historical proof?

The police should get the riot water cannon on this bunch of green nutters.

  • Astra can anyone help please?

Vauxhall Astra merit 1.7 TD (isuzu engine) P reg, clutch problem.

Before engine warms up clutch etc is OK, 10minutes later engine warms up, some gears difficult to find, clutch is not 'slipping'! Three of questions:-

Is it possible to adjust clutch cable? It may have stretched?.

Nothing in my manual about this.

    Next question:-

What (if anything) has the engine warming up got to do with his)?

3rd and last question (very important):-

If it is a cable replacement job or adjustment what would be my cost to a garage, or a clutch replacement?

I would just like a rough idea before I get a quote. Thanks in advance for any answers

  • Any one from Glasgow remember this?

My first memory goes back to the age of two years, I was born 1938.

I lived with my Gran in Princes Street, the memory is waking up in bed with her, a very large comfy bed, it was inside a very large metal tank, how it got into the house I don't know.

It was to prevent bombs dropping on our heads.

Have I just imagined this or does any one else remember a large tank in their house?
