  • My daughter will not talk to me when she is with her mum.?

I have two daughters. My eldest is 6 and my youngest is 2.

I split with their mum just over a year ago. My daughters come to stay with me, my partner and her daughter every other weekend and half of when I am on leave from the Army.

When they stay we have a wonderful time.

They went back to their mum yesterday after staying with us for just over two weeks. During that time my eldest told me nearly every day that she wanted to live with us as she doesn't like living with her mum and her mum's partner. She also wrote a letter stating the reasons she wants to live with us and also made me promise to ask her mum if she could live with us. I did this and was told that she wouldn't let any of the children live with me as the money that I pay her would be reduced.

My real problem though is that when the children is with their mum I get to phone every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday.

My eldest is very reluctant to talk to me and usually says that she doesn't want to talk to me before even saying hello.

I find this very odd as when she is with me we talk for very lengthy times and about everything she wants to talk about.

I would be very grateful if anyone that has been, or is, in the situation or any child experts can let me know of possible reasons behind this.

My suspicions are that my ex is telling her not to talk to me as our divorce and break up has not been very pleasant due to me having to get social services involved.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

  • Would my partners CSA payments stop if she changed her daughter's surname?

My partner has a 2 year old daughter who's father has had no contact with her since she was born (through no fault of my partner as she has not stopped him from seeing her). He is not named on the birth certificate as he didn't turn up to the registry office. My partner and her daughter share the same surname which is different to the father's. The father makes regular CSA payments that are deducted from his wages.

My partner and I would like to get married and I would love to adopt her daughter as I think the world of her. But my partner is of the belief that if she changes her daughter's surname to mine and if I adopt her then the father would not have to pay CSA payments towards his daughter.

    Is this true?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

  • Help with getting my 18 month old daughter into a routine?

I am separated from the mother of my children and only see them every other weekend where they stay with me, my partner and my partner's 18 month old daughter.

I have a 6 year old daughter and an 18 month old daughter.

Bed times are a real chore. My 6 year old and my partners daughter both go to bed well and will stay in their beds throughout the night.

When I put my youngest to bed she will scream as soon as I leave the room. I have tried leaving her to cry but find it extremely hard as I don't want her to resent me as I only have my children for a very short amount of time.

I have tried letting her fall asleep in my arms and then carrying her to bed but as soon as I put her down she screams.

I have laid in bed with her while she falls asleep. This is fine but she will wake up every hour or so crying.

I am in the army and am away Monday to Friday. Because of this situation me and my partner end up sleeping in separate beds every other weekend.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

  • What money can my ex claim through divorce?

My ex wife and I are going through a divorce. I recieved her application for divorce and after reading it noticed that in a section she has ticked a few finance boxes. Off the top of my head she has ticked lump sum, periodic payment and one that states a few different things.

I have no savings and do not own my own home. I am in the army and will recieve a pension when I am 60. I am paying child maintenance through the CSA.

We were married for 4 years.

Since we seperated I have given her everything that was in our marital home.

I am wondering what else she is entitled to.

She is claiming every benefit she is entitled to and is now with a new boyfriend who is also unemployed. I am fearful that I am going to be left out of pocket.

I would like to point out that I left her due to her cheating but she is divorcing me for unreasonable behaviour as she gets it for free under the legal aid system and I cannot afford to do so.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  • How do I apply for information through Sarah's Law?

My wife and I split up around three months ago. She instantly got herself a new boyfriend whom she used to date before we were together. We have two daughters together, aged 5 and 1.

I spoke to my eldest daughter last Wednesday. She is always very cagey on the phone as my wife tells her not to tell me anything. Even when I ask where she is I get the response "I don't know."

During the telephone conversation my daughter told me that mummy's new friend (which is what she calls mum's boyfriend) puts money up his nose. When I asked if it was paper money she said it was. Obviously that indicates to me that he is taking drugs in front of my daughter.

The other thing that is worrying me is this.

I was speaking to a girl that I used to go to school with. I mentioned the drug taking to her and she asked what his name is. When I told her she told me that she never wants to hear that name again. After a few minutes she told me that he attempted to rape her. She said that he was sentenced in 2004 to 6 years in prison and served 3.

As you can probably imagine, I am terrified about the type of environment and people that my children are being brought up around. I have tried to speak to my wife about this but she never answers the phone to me and doesn't reply to text messages.

If anyone has been in a similar situation or know someone that has please could you give me some advice. I have been told that I can apply for information by using Sarah's Law but am unsure where to start.

    Thanks.

  • My wife is falsley claiming domestic violence. What can I do?

My wife and I seperated whilst we were visiting our home town. This is something that always happens as she did not like living where I am stationed with the army.

She decided to stay at her mother's house, which resulted in her removing my 5 year old daughter from school. We also have a 1 year old daughter. All of whom were staying on the living room floor of her mother's house.

My father in law decided that he didnt want them staying at his house which ultimatley left my wife and children homeless.

My wife then decided to tell the housing authority that I have been beating her and the children and that I carry a gun around with me. As I am in the army and she has the phone number for our families officer, this has got back to my boss and I have been asked numerous questions.

Her plan has worked to a degree as she and the children have been housed in a women's refuge centre. I am not allowed to know where this is as I am deemed a threat.

It has got to the point now where I am fed up of people pointing the finger at me and being labeled a wife and child beater. I want people to know the truth. I have never layed a finger on my wife during our relationship that lasted nearly 7 years.

Is there anything that I can do to clear my name?

  • What factors do the CSA (uk) take into consideration.?

My wife and I have recently split up. We have two daughters together (5 and 1 years old).

Whilst we were together, my wife accumulated a lot of debt in my name. I have been advised that because it is in my name the CSA will not take it into consideration.

I have been speaking to my wife and she has said that she wants £300 a month. I have told her that I can only afford £200. I know it isnt a lot so let me explain.

I am in the army and based 250 miles away from where my wife and children now live. It costs me £100 for a round trip to visit my children which i want to do twice a month.

I also have nowhere to have my children when i visit. I have managed to rent a room for £280 a month. Would the CSA take this into consideration?

My wife is adamant that she is going to the CSA to get as much as she can.

I know it sounds like I am trying to pay as less as I can but the reason is that I want to be able to have a good time with my daughters when I see them and not have to watch what I spend.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

  • Does ourwear.com sell fake goods?

I have seen a few items on ourwear.com that my wife would love. I was tempted to buy until that age old saying rang in my head, "if it sounds to good to be true it probably is." The prices on this website are cheap but I can't get my head around the fact that a website can sell so many fake products without these company prosecuting. Has anybody bought from this site. If so what was your experience like?
