  • Acey-deucy anyone? How about cribbage?

Ok, I'm gonna try this again because I got no answers last time and SOMEONE must play these games!

Does anyone know of an online acey-deucy game? Acey-deucy is a variant of backgammon often played in the military. I'd prefer a free one, but I'd pay if it was good and wasn't expensive. It would be fun to play against other people too.

I can find tons of backgammon games but none that I can find have the acey-deucy variant.

I'd also like to find an online cribbage game.

  • Is there any way to find out what your trust level is when reporting abuse?

Abusive questions or answers get deleted almost instantly when reported by HIGH trust people but it takes several reports by LOW trust people to delete them. Even if the Q/A is deleted immediately after you report it, you don't know if it was because a HIGH trust person reported it just as you did, or if you were just the last needed LOW trust person to report it.

So, how can you tell how trusted you are?

  • How did I get to the UK?

When I answer questions, nowhere (that I can see) does it say which country I am answering from. It just says Verizon Yahoo! Answers. Yet when I get a notification that I have received a best answer, the notice says Yahoo! Answers with UK & Ireland under it. When I click on the "take me to Yahoo" button, the Yahoo it takes me to also has UK & Ireland under Yahoo! Answers.

I have clicked on the little American flag at the bottom of the page, but that seems to do nothing. How did I get to the UK, and how do I get back to the USA!

  • Contacting the Yahoo! Answers team?

How would I go about contacting the Yahoo! Answers team directly concerning a problem about my Answers account(s). They are the only ones who would be able to fix or resolve my particular problem.

  • are these accounts linked?

I have 2 yahoo email accounts. On one I use yahoo.com and I am a level 6 with 14,329 points. On the other one I use Verizon.net and I am level 1 with 101 points! I thought these accounts were supposed to be linked. How do I get all my points that I worked so hard on to show up on the Verizon.net account?

  • How to find fabric I like online?

I like to wear clothes that are soft and "flowy", long dresses & skirts, gathered blouses, etc. I am having trouble finding fabrics like these in my local stores that are neither shiny (like satin) nor see-through (like chiffon). I don't want a rough texture, and it must be machine washable and preferably machine dryable, though line or flat dry is acceptable. I would also like to find some kind of printed fabric rather than strictly solid. I also like those extra wide fabrics (for full skirts) though that isn't an absolute requirement.

I have tried looking online but am having several problems with that. I don't know the names they use for fabrics these days. For instance, specifically, what is suiting fabric, shirting fabric or knit? And what the heck is minky (minkee) or moleskin, tencel, pique or shantung? Since I don't know the names for the kind of fabrics I'm looking for, I'm afraid to order online; who knows what I'll end up with? Also, how can you know if fabrics match? Say I wanted one printed fabric and one solid, like for a skirt and blouse? The pictures can't show the true, actual color, so two fabrics could be called "pink" and be totally different colors! Could someone out there that's into maybe fashion design or something help me with that? And possibly give me the names being used for some of the types of fabric I have described?

I've been sewing for more than 50 years and used to make most of my clothes when I was a lot younger, but I sure don't remember having this much trouble finding fabrics I liked in fabric stores!

  • The best virus protection?

I have a subscription to Norton Anti-Virus which expires in 3 more days. Someone told me that the Vipre Anti-virus, Anti-spyware program that you can get online was as good or better than Norton. Anyone know if this is true?

Also, there are so many free anti-virus programs online that you can download for free. Are they really as good as the programs you pay for? If they are, which one is the very best? My son uses my computer and heaven only knows what he might download.

  • Will they know if I comment?

I answered a question and was chosen as best answer. After choosing my answer the questioner asked me about something I had referred to in my answer. This person doesn't allow email and, since the question is now resolved, I can't add to my answer to explain it to her. I told her she could email me for an explanation using the 'comment' section under the question, but I don't know if she will see it.

Does the questioner get notified if someone makes a comment on their question once it is resolved? Otherwise I doubt anyone would ever look back for comments.

  • What would be the best yo-yo for a 6 year old boy to start with?

My grandson just met his first yo-yo. He is interested, but frustrated. Of course he isn't interested in tricks of any kind yet, he just wants it to go down and come back up to his hand without stopping or getting twisted up. He's even having a hard time trying to wind it. What kind of yo-yo would be good for a VERY young, extreme beginner, and where would I find it?

  • Google used to be my homepage. Then I tried Yahoo. Now I can't get Google back. Why am I stuck with Yahoo?

I love Yahoo itself, but I would prefer to go back to Google just for my homepage. When I first go on the internet, all I really want is the Google searchbar, front & center! I have tried going through "tools, internet options", and also by going to Google and checking the box that says "make Google your homepage". Whatever I do, it always just goes right back to Yahoo. I don't know what else to do. Why is it doing this and how do I make it stop?
