  • Why isn't any of my browsers accepting 4k resolution? ?

I'm using a 4k TV as a second screen and I have confirmed that neither Edge or Opera display 4K. According multiple sites it's detecting my resolution as 1080p despite having a 4k resolution and HDR enabled in the settings on windows 10. My monitor however, which is 1440p currently is detected as 1440p so what's going on? I can't get the 4k content from my accounts I use for streaming like Netflix for example.

  • What are some budget monitors for office use?

I was just wondering what everyone else uses in their office. We will probably be looking to upgrade a few of our monitors soon, and I would like to replace them without breaking the bank.

We currently have no monitor standard. Everything is just whatever was on sale at the time.Budget would be around $150-250

  • Which computer monitor is gentle on the eyes?

Which computer monitor is the most gentle on the eyes?

I have seen recommendations for the BenQ 32 inch, 4K UHD Monitor, though it's a tad expensive.  I am willing if it is the very best in this ONE respect.

I heard about Viewsonic, but my current ViewSonic VX2739WM 27-Inch is very hard on the eyes.

I am tired of filters and adjustments that simply don't work.

  • Can I use a monitor for both work and leisure?

So like most people now, I'm working from home indefinitely. Right now, I'm working from a work laptop my company gave to me.

I'm also planning on finally moving into my own apartment very soon. I would like to have my own desk setup where I can work, and then later, possibly play games or surf the web from the same monitor. My plan is to attach an HDMI cable from my work laptop into the monitor so I can see things much more clearly. And then once the work day is over, I can detach the HDMI cable and use the monitor as I please.

Would this bring up any security issues?

  • Apple TV help?

I recently turned my old monitor into a TV and attempted to use my Apple TV with it, my old monitor uses VGA so I had to get an adaptor. When I turn the Apple TV on only for a split second it appears that it will show on screen but then the screen shows a message which says that it can’t detect a VGA connection, while this is happening my Apple TV begins to blink, anyone know what to do here?

  • Samsung Odyssey G5 Help?

I recently bought the Odyssey G5 Curved Monitor, it worked fine at first, however the first time I shut down my computer and started it back up, the entire left side of the screen was black. I turned the monitor off then back on and it fixed the issue for a few hours. After I shut it off then back on again it did the same thing, however restarting it did not fix the issue this time. Whenever I start it up it is always half black and sometimes it has blue stripes going down it. Please help!

  • Is it weird to have 3 screens for my PC?

I have a gaming monitor, general monitor, and a TV for my PC. The first monitor is a typical 1440p display which will fulfill my editing and web searching. The second one is just for gaming at 155hz. I will use this for anything related to games. The last display is a 4k Tv just for viewing videos. This including Netflix, Primevideo and absolutely everything. Is this weird?

  • USB-C to HDMI not working?

I used to have a 3 monitor set up with an iMac, however, I have upgraded and build my own PC.

    here are the specs:

    Motherboard: ASUS Prime Z490-A

    CPU: Intel i7 10700K

    Monitors: 2 AOC 27B1H 27" LCD Monitors

1 MSI - Optix 27" LED Curved FHD FreeSync Monitor

I believe that is all the information needed to understand what's going on, I hope.

My main monitor, the MSI Optix, is connected via a Display port to HDMI adapter, Display Port connected to the motherboard, HDMI connected to the monitor, works fine.

my left monitor is connected to the HDMI on the motherboard, works fine.

    However, for my right monitor...

At the time, due to the obnoxious prices of Graphics Cards at the moment, I am going to hold off for a while, so I have to work with the motherboard for now. I bought a USB-C to HDMI wire (j5create USB-C to 4K HDMI Cable) plugged it into the USB-C port and... nothing.

I tried drivers, plugging in and un-plugging, turning on and off, updates, nothing.

Should I try a USB 3.0 to HDMI instead to see if that works?
