How to have an active link when answering questions?

When answering a question, if I type in or copy & paste in an internet address it is just plain text. Other answers actually have active links to click on. How do you do that?

    Dune above me is right.

The site only converts it into an active hyperlink if you include http:// in the address; in other words, if you copy it directly from your web browser.

    Example:

    www.wontwork.com

    http://activelink.com/

You have to add the http://www.*******/

    to the address
