I want to find a film I adored as a child.?
Recently I have been desperate to find a film I loved throughout my childhood. I don't remember a lot about it but I'll explain what I can. If anyone recognises the description, or has anything to add I'd be extremely grateful.
Points about the film:
*I was born in 1991, and remember choosing it so it was made definetly before 1994
*Xtravision stocked it
*It involved trolls
*There were two main characters (I think) a long, brown-haired girl and a boy named Cody
*At one point in the film the trolls' toenails were painted bright pink
*There was a flood at the end and the girl character held onto a floating piece of wood
*The boy walked through a forest (possibly whistling) at the beginning and the audience had a bird's eye view of him
*There MIGHT have been something at the start involving a cupboard/wardrobe/box
Thats all I can remember. I'd be soooo grateful if anyone had anything to offer - I loved it so much! :D Thanks

ah, that sounds sorta like 'The Princess and the Goblin' movie i saw as a kid. expect that they`re goblins not trolls (boh are ugly tho) and the boy, Curdie (close to Cody) was singing thru a forest in the beginning to keep the goblins away. and the queen goblin paints her toenails pink in the movie. the girl princess is Irene and she did have to hang onto a piece of wood during the flood in the castle at the end.

At first i thought it was Dark Crystal but now am not so sure, as i don't remember the toenails bit
