Trying to connect PC screen to t.v screen?
A guy at the electronics store told me I could watch my PC screen on my TV by connecting an s-video cable into the input on one of those 3-way video switchers, then connecting the yellow video cable into the output on the switcher and the input on the t.v. I did that and it's not working. I don't know which type of video card I have and if that would matter, also it is and older t.v Any advice would help greatly! Thanks!

Keep in mind that S-Video and older boob-tube TVs cannot handle high resolutions. You most likely will not get a picture if your resolution is set to anything over 800x600.
Personally, I wouldn't even bother. Old low-definition boob-tube TVs don't work well as monitors-- The text and images you get will be blurry and fuzzy.
The new High Definition TV sets work MUCH better as monitors because they can display high resolutions, and can use high-quality connections like VGA or DVI/HDMI instead of that low-quality S-video garbage.

You may have to setup a extra monitor in windows.
Righ click desktop
Click Properties
Click the settings tab
Then click the sqaur with the 2 in it
The from the drop down menu under Display: you should see like TV
If you have a Nvidia card and Nvidia control panel you can use the Quick setup in the Nvidia Control Panel

Um I havn't quite encountered any issues like that once I connect my computing device to the television. first and foremost VGA does not carry audio indicators. you probable do choose a sparkling video card. Mine is a ATI HD 2400 some thing like that, its no longer VGA its DVI that's digital so as meaning you will get extra constructive photograph. i might purchase that video card or any video card that has DVI, and in the experience that your television helps HDMI, i might merely purchase a DVI to HDMI cable at radioshack for variety of 50 dollars. Thats what I did and that i'm getting HD photograph on my television. that's especially large for observing video clips and different issues.

Well with my tv theres different channels for different slots for instance when i press the input button on my remote it will go to AV - AV2 - CMPT and FRNT
the CMPT would stand for computer but if its an older tv just try getting it to AV. Which sometimes is Channel 0

I know that in order for that to work your video card must support that feature.Maybe you connected something in the wrong place.
