Cashing a stopped cheque?

My fault in part but I recently cashed a cheque in good faith using an instant cheque cash shop only to be told that it had been stopped and the person had previously cashed stopped cheques in my name (I had no prior knowlledge of this). Now I'm facing an investigation (as I can't pay the amount back for another 2 weeks - unacceptable to the cash shop). I know I don't have a leg to stand on legally, but is there anything I can do to help my case?

Just be perfectly honest about what has happened. Go and speak directly to your Bank manager and explain. - Nobody's perfect!

YOUR financial organization can no longer lie some stop fee on a verify. think of roughly this. Why did 'your chum' could desire to money a verify by way of YOU to get money to deliver a money order ? Why did no longer she in simple terms bypass to her financial organization and do it, or why did no longer she deliver her very own verify to conceal the rents, if she had sufficient money ? This individual isn't a chum. She's a mendacity rip-off artist, and you are the sufferer. With any style of success, you will at last get your a reimbursement and could optimistically think of roughly what you do earlier you do it.
