  • Gas unpaid bill scam?

Recently got an odd letter claiming that £100 is owed for a gas bill requesting payment within 7 days. It offered a meter check and claims to be from a Debt collector. Has anyone else recieved any strange posts like this lately?

  • FREE Battlefield 3 online codes?

I recently replaced a lost copy of Battlefield 3 and as such have a spare set of "karland" and online codes I don't need.

So I'm offering the 2 codes to the first answerer who gives their PSN name.

  • Has anyone got this fake message?

One of my friends on PSN forwarded me some dumb message supposedly tracked by Sony and sent to all users saying if I send it to 25 people I get $50 in my account wallet (useless for UK) and the free Escalation pack.

Of course it's a total fib and the only people I'm forwarding it to are Sony. But I was wondering if anyone else got a similar message?

  • please can you rate my poem?

what do you think of this......

The shim-sham ram skin bust late beneath the Quaver

Harrowed like a flickered lounge of sapping fawn

And dusky wails of Frazzles tempted over glum

whilst monster munch dipped a crunchy toe

and tipped a foot shaped hat

To every pickled onion that danced upon his master's tongue

In glutton's bounty then they turned more rolled over

Lest Transformasnack should hunt them down

with creaking wheels of lesser chassis bent

as if not to slow but represent the disregard heaped

As heavy as as many Walkersrustlingg in Frampton's glove?

    Perhaps

    Yes by all accounts perhaps

So rest your head my child

  • Connecting a 3D source via a receiver amp?

I have a blu ray player which i connect first to a 2 year old ONKYA entry level HD receiver which then outs to a standard 720p LCD TV. I'm looking at upgrading to a 3DTV and 3D blu ray player but wondering whether connecting a 1.4HDMI (required for full 1080P 3D) via a non 3D source (the amp) would affect the image. Has anybody tried this? Would i need to connect to the TV direct? Any advise would be appreciated

  • What is the better of these two dinners?

I am in a tight fix....I can't decide which dinner to have tonight. I have two choices, firstly there's roasted quail with a rich orange sauce, sauteed potatoes, runner beans and thinly sliced, salted cheek of pan fried Bernard Mathews. The second choice is Gala melon with oak aged cheddar cheese, a lightly dabbed goose with black current coulis served with over-steamed breast of hand-picked wild egg. I'd serve both with a light Muscadet. Which shall I have?

  • Virtual syndicate rip-off?

Got this email from virtual world direct the other day. "playing in an e-line lottery...you will receive a share of all the the winnings from 36 single-line entries..will MATCH both lucky stars..etc" they say. I reckon it sounds like a big fat scam. too good to be true, only have to pick one number supposedly, and guaranteed win. I've deleted it now but was wondering if anyone else had thoughts on it, was duped, or even found success.

  • Cashing a stopped cheque?

My fault in part but I recently cashed a cheque in good faith using an instant cheque cash shop only to be told that it had been stopped and the person had previously cashed stopped cheques in my name (I had no prior knowlledge of this). Now I'm facing an investigation (as I can't pay the amount back for another 2 weeks - unacceptable to the cash shop). I know I don't have a leg to stand on legally, but is there anything I can do to help my case?

  • What to do if accused of deliberately cashing a stopped cheque?

I cashed a cheque in good faith a week or so ago, which was stopped. Now the company that cashed it are harassing me and accusing me of knowingly cashing a fraudulant cheque. I have tried to explain that there was a genuine error and that the matter can be cleared in just over 2 weeks but they insist that if i don't honor this amount in 2 seconds with money I don't have they will start a criminal investigation. Whilst I've done no wrong the process is annoying and will unfairly reflect bad on my credit score. How do I avoid this?
