The juice will have the most enzymes, the soup more fibre. A good compromise is a green smoothie, then you get the best of both worlds. Anything cooked above 40 degrees will destroy the enzymes, so the smoothie is far more nutritious.

Don't force yourself to eat something you don't like. Vegetables that are frozen (and canned tomatoes) are picked at peak freshness and retain many of their nutrients. Also try sneaking veggies into cooked foods like lasagna, chili, salsa, pasta dishes, or rice dishes. Eating vegetables in any form is probably better than eating very little of the raw form. Also, have you considered V-8 or the V-8 juice combos? They are pretty good and can be incorporated into foods. Use v-8 as a base for your chili! If all else fails, mix up a good bloody mary with lots of celery, carrot sticks, and olives. Vodka makes everything better! Seriously, eat what you enjoy!

Cooked vegies break down after eating

    It can taste better

    And generally good for you

    Raw vegetable juice

    Has more vitamins in it.

Cooking ills vitamin content in vegies

    It easier to swallow.

    It digests faster

And is in it's purest form other than a solid

But both about equal overall because there would hopefully be more kinds of vegies in soup than say a juice.

But i honestly wouldn't rate one horribly better than the other it always a give and take dave

    Raw juice

    Pro: Very healthy.

    Con: Need a good juicer.

    Cooked soup

Pro: You probably already have things to make it.

    Con: Not too healthy.

Drinking raw vegetable juice does give your digestion a break but you may find it also cleanses feces buildup from your digestion system. So don't stray too far from toilets for a few days if you start drinking vegetable juices.

Raw juice is much more digestable than whole foods because the cellulose is taken out of the food (which means your body doesn't have to try to break it down).

Either way, I think they are both healthy. But if you are looking to give your body a break from digestion, the juice is much easier on your body.

You'll lose nutrients if you try to heat it past a certain temperature....

Here... I got this from wikipedia.... It's in reference to the "raw food" movement which doesn't believe in eating cooked or processed foods:

Heating food above 104-120 degrees Fahrenheit degrades or destroys these enzymes in food

Raw ingredients always lose something when they are cooked.

Then again - when things are cooked they normally taste better.

That's about all in terms of the pros and cons.
