Nasri + Money = Passion?

Personally I feel that most PL players lack any loyalty and are ruled by the $ or £, I wouldn't mind if they were just honest and stated I am leaving for the money, how refreshing if they were honest.

Their problem is they lack passion, integrity and honesty, and move to clubs who massage their overinflated ego's.

Not sour grapes, just a weary foot ball fan who missess the qualities raised in the modern player, I mean really who is worth £175.000 per WEEK! I am a nurse go figure.

Update:

thanks Baggy, but I would only spend it !!!! But feel I had earned it, big difference.

Loyalty is a long lost commodity in today's world, not just football, and not not just sports. You put your talents on the market for the highest bidder to take - that's how things are today. How many of you have jumped ship for bigger bucks - I bet the whole lot of you.

I'm an Arsenal fan and I don't like the disloyalty shown by the Nasri's and Adebayor's, Hleb, etc but if someone more then tripled your salary, would you decline? I bet you wouldn't.

  • Not really, i mean im an Arsenal fan but i don't think he left for just money, i think its a factor just like in anything, no human being is not going to bat an eyelid and doubling his wages somewhere else, having said that though i think what nasri said was true, city are a team for the future there buying players competing at the top level whereas we are challeneging and then systematically failing again and again.

I mean honestly, think about Arsenal from a players point of view, you get to the carling cup final and choke against birmingham you choke in the league, have a chance to finish of barca and don't take it, seems like were inches away from glory right, then you sell your best player, what message does that give to the players...ambition really. We were a few players away from winning trophies not a trophy and we go and sell our best player and don't replace them, if i was Nasri i would do the same, at the end of the day there is loyalty but players have short careers and whats the point of wasting years at Arsenal when we won't win anything, atleast not in the near future, just be honest man.

    Nasri +Arsenal = No Trophies

Sandi...So why then do Arsenal have the 4th highest wage bill in the EPL?

@Highbury Girl exactly how do the Newspaers know the wages of these players all financial information is protected by teh Data protection act so if one of the papers actually printed a correct figure they would be suable as they would have knowledge of a criminal act...these are the facts. check it out. David Oleary was reprimanded for letting slip the actual price Man Utd payed for Rio ferdinand on talksport the other day...everyone thought he cost £29-£30Mil but he actually cost £34 mil but even all these years later its still data protected.

i really agree with you , years ago players used to get paid 500 pounds a week, and imagine how i would feel , i support united and all of a sudden our arch rivals become super rich , i would imagine how city fans would feel now but man city hav crossed the line with the money and are literally dragging players to the club , and since when arsenal are a feeder club to city ????? idk!!! first clichy now nasri !! who next !! and i dont think that what nasri said about the arsenal fans was nice at all and instead he should have said ' i came to arsenal from marseille for a better career but it doesnt mean i am a loyalplayer and i came to city for the money!!!" end of

    your also behind the times

fabregas will be nearer £200,000 and several man city players are near the mark

also rooney is supposed to be on over £200,00 a week

AND SAMUEL ETO'O HAS JUST SIGNED A CONTRACT WORTH APPROX £350,000 A WEEK

and i would rather give a nurse that kind of money then a football player

EDIT well if you saved even 1 persons life then its money well spent and i for 1 wouldnt mind what you did with it tbh spend it,save it or share it with me it would be yours to do as you wish..!

Yes, that does seem to be a major problem. I think that salary cap that FIFA are planning would really help put this money-grabbing ego massaging to rest.
