How to cook Bacon?

My mom would be able to use one pack of bacon and they'll be these little pieces, yet it'll be enough for all four of us. When I try making bacon, I use the whole pack too and it'll barely be enough for two people. What am I doing wrong? I don't know if I'm tearing the uncooked pieces too small or too big. Help?

The only thing I can think of is that your mom is using a larger package of bacon. Where I shop, it comes in 12 ounce or 16 ounce packages.

Tearing it a different way will not affect the amount of bacon.

It doesn't matter how you tear the bacon, it's still going to be the same amount of bacon. Maybe you think your mom only uses one pack when she uses more. I don't have any other possible answer for this question lol

The bacon shrinks upon cooking, if you're buying a smaller pack and a fattier cut, your yield will be significantly lower.

Mostly you are eating too much bacon. 3-4 slices is a portion.
