Should a president be a divisive force? Shouldn't a president be trying to unite people, and get them wanting to work together?

United we stand? Divided we fall? Do you think that the people that want us to fall are dancing around gleefully and rubbing their hands together?

Not by necessity. There have been some utterly dreadful political systems in the past where everyone has been united underneath them.

If you pursue what you see as the truth, and what's good and right - expect to get a lot of flak from the people whose noses you put out of joint, because they happen to be on the wrong side of your point. But that doesn't mean you should stop.

Some of the most important developments in our societal evolution have been highly divisive and inflammatory at first. Thank the lord they were pursued by people who saw them to be of greater importance than 'uniting everyone'

Pretty hard to unite a group of people when 1/2 them HATE you for no other reason than they were told they should.

Trump has a "winner take all" psyche -- he doesn't do magnanimity in victory

When he wins an election -- those who voted against him no longer count : he believes he owns them .

Trump is in favor of that.

Well, if the democrats would look at the economy, the unemployment rates, the fact that Americans are paying less in taxes, the fact that we are securing our borders...

Trump should be uniting us, but Dems only want him to fail. They refuse to look at all the accomplishments.
