Have you ever treated a ruptured cyst on your dog?

Did you use home remedies or was surgery the only option?

Did the cyst return?

If so, how long did it take?

Depends on the type of cyst. Not all cyst behave the same and if no needle biopsy has been done you do not know what you have.   If it is a fatty cyst - it may rupture & drain but without SURGERY to remove ALL of it, it will simply RETURN and start the process all over again & you RISK infection, with any open wound.  See your vet!

What a foolish question to ask. How can you think that the cyst your dog has is the same exact thing as someone else's dog had?? ANY growths on the skin should be looked at as they can be CANCEROUS. When they rupture they can also spread if there's infection present.

Stop being such a shitty pet owner. Get this neglected dog to a vet. You're horrible.

Yes, I have. Some came back cause I didn't treat it properly, after I learned how to treat them they did not come back.

Here is some information you should have been able to locate by using google.

Generally speaking a ruptured cyst needs surgery to get it all out.

I have an ongoing situation with one of my hounds right now.   One of several he has, ruptured and I was warned that it should be removed (one vet was calling it an abscess).  As he has a heart murmur and doesn't do well recovering from a general anaesthetic in any case, I have opted to leave it, just keeping it clean with diluted Hibiscrub, and using Manuka Honey.   He's had a course of antibiotics but unlike some we've had on other hounds, this hasn't made much difference and again I don't want to continually hit him with a/bs.

Talk to your vet - each situation is probably different.

There are no home remedies for cysts that work.   The cyst needs medical treatment or it doesn't.

Take the dog to a vet.  Your vet has an eight year long university education designed for this purpose.

I would take it to a vet if it was my dog.
