Will I get taxed if I only worked for 7 days ? Uk only?

So I started my new job and worked for 7 days before deciding to quit. In the UK you get taxed if you earn over £12,500. As I have only worked for 7 days I am due to receive £420 on my pay day which is the 24th of August. Will I still get taxed ?

You're likely to get taxed; but you'll be able to claim it back.

Yes, the PAYE calculates the tax due for your tax code, the tax code allows for the personal allowance of £12,500. If you paid too much tax over the tax year you will get a refund.

Yes as tax is averaged out over the year.

Yes on PAYE you will still get taxed and you will have to claim that tax back at the end of the tax year if you do not earn over your personal allowance
