Is it still acceptable for people to live with parents in Hawaii?

    Still pretty common on the Islands - read somewhere that over 10% of homes are multi generational.  Even on the mainland, when I was younger I lived with my Tutu and cousins as it was expected/customary

    Yes and it is quite common.

    Multigenerational homes is fairly common. Housing in Hawaii is pricey so multiple families tend to stay under one roof in order to save money.

    They usually live with siblings or aunties or Uncles.
