What graphics card do I need to game this resolution?

I want a graphics card to game at 1440p with MAX settings enabled ALSO a minimum of average 70fps. Don't tell me to buy something expensive like the rtx 3080, I don't have all the money to spend on a graphics card. I can possibly stretch to around $750 USD.

Get a card with at least 6GB, and preferably 8GB or more for gaming at 1080p. You'll need more memory if you play with all the settings turned up or you install high-resolution texture packs. And if you're gaming at very high resolutions such as 4K, more than 8GB is ideal.

You can get a used RTX 2080.

Usually when people ask these kinds of questions, they want to know what will play the newest and most demanding games at a given resolution at the highest settings possible. The most demanding games out there are Red Dead Redemption 2, CyberPunk 2077, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Control, Anno 1800, and Assassins Creed Valhalla.

In Assassins Creed Valhalla and Cyberpunk 2077, nothing short of the RTX 3080 will get you 70fps at 1440p, Ultra settings.

In MS Flight Simulator 2020, there is not a card that can get 70fps at the Highest settings at 1440p.

For the other games like Red Dead, an RTX 3060ti will come close but the RTX 3070 will get you over that hump, just barely. This still doesn't make the RTX 3070 a better value. The RX 6800 would also be a good card to consider.

For any other game out there, you're going to get a much higher framerate with a much lesser card.

Graphics cards are extremely difficult to come by these days thanks to shortages and an extremely high demand. If you want a card then you best bet is to buy a prebuilt gaming PC. However, Best Buy still charges MSRP for the Founder's Edition cards but Best Buy only stocks these cards every 2 weeks and generally on Tuesday morning. Stock goes quick but Best Buy online is your Best Bet. Most other non- Founder's Edition cards have been effected by tariffs and they're anywhere from $150-300 over MSRP. Right now is a bad time to buy a card.

Depends on what game you want that in. Depending on game a 1070 (or even lower) may be able to do that.

in what game? not all games are identical. some require beefier computers.

believe it or not, "gaming" is the most taxing thing a computer can do, and high-end games require high-end computers.

    sorry.

one of the best places to look is a benchmark website. The link below also has current purchase price and a bang for buck attribution. You still have to check you can get one near you and its actual specs.

    RTX 360 Ti maybe?

    RX 6800XT

Depends on the game. For some games, you have little choice but to buy the top-end card. If you don't want to be told to buy something expensive, then don't demand something that requires buying something expensive.
