Is Hard Drive write speed equal between SSDs and HDDs?

If there is a HDD with a max write speed of 400 MBps and a SDD with a max write speed of 400 MBps, will they perform exactly the same (in terms of speed) or will the SSD be faster simply because it is a Solid-State Drive? I know that SSDs are generally faster because they don't have a physical mechanism (disk) and they store information a bit differently, but I don't know how it works if the read/write speeds are the same as an HDD (especially if they are the same brand).

First off, HDD stand for a Hard Drive Disks.

To comprehend why there is a major contrast between SSD v HDD speed, it's important to think about the distinction among SSD and HDD innovation. Strong state drives have significantly quicker peruse and compose speeds when contrasted and hard circle drives.

hard drives are limited by their SATA connections to 600MB/s. SSD drives that use SATA have that limit, too, however, hard drives have a secondary speed limiter that keeps them second tier for life: they rely on moving parts.

all HDDs use spinning disks to store data, and needles that must seek and find free space to write to. SSDs are 100% digital, so they save at the speed of the circuits, which is why they can move many times faster than almost all HDDs.

in fact, an NVME SSD cannot be beaten by ANY HDD drive! they can get faster than 5,000MB/s!

if the write speeds are the same, then they are RATED to write at that speed, but i would still take an SSD over an HDD. you can drop kick one while in use and it still works (though i don't recommend it).

SSD is faster than HDD hard drive.

I know of no SSD whose write speed is NOT significantly faster than that of the best HDD.

Speed is standard. If the specs say they're the same then they're the same.

HDD has seek time and rotational delay that significantly slow performance. SSD has no mechanical movement so is faster.

No. SSC is faster than HDD

so max read-write speed is ALWAYS measured with sequential data.

That in mind hard drives read at different speeds depending on where that data is located on the physical disk, while ssds don't have this issue.

if you had a VERY large file that took up the whole disk, the read - write speed would drop as the file was read or wrote to the disk. generally this drop can be as much as 50MBps

SSDs also have a MAJOR plus which no hard drive will ever mean.

SSDs have 10-300x more RANDOM read-write speed.

MOST data that is read or written to a disk is random so ssds will feel much more responsive even if the SSD has a slower top speed compared to the disk.

SSDs also do not have a spin up time, so they can respond to requests immediately.
