Are there any monitors out there that have amazing displays?

I'm interested in monitors not specifically made for gaming but for amazing HDR displays that looks sharp and clear while watching videos.

    You probably want a monitor with an IPS panel then.

    gaming monitors are the cutting edge of the technology.  if your use is video ... it's ok to get a 5 ms refresh rate monitor that no serious gamer would likely want [we want faster]

    For amazing videos (and games if ever), connect your computer to a 100" TV but maintain a smaller monitor for everything else.

    Check Amazon for 2019 Dell UltraSharp U2718Q.   This is a discontinued model, but the new one looks like it is way too expensive to even consider...making the 2019 model that much more of a bargain.
