If you did not vote for Trump in 2016, what was your immediate reaction when he won?
Were you nauseous? Did you refuse to accept him as your president? If things changed for you, how and why?

It's still a town with gas powered lawn mowers under well lit American flags.

Not surprised, just sad. I knew he would be a disaster and he turned out to be even worse, much worse, than even I expected.

I tried to keep an open mind and hope for the best. That he was just pretending to be an ignorant a$$hole to appease his base. That lasted about 2 hours when the first thing Trump did was start lying about the crowd size at his inauguration.

I knew as soon as he announced his candidacy that he was fundamentally the wrong choice to be president. When he won I felt like I had been punched in the stomach. There was no point in pretending that he wasn't going to be the president because he had won most electoral college votes, as the constitution mandates. Little did I know that he would be a worse president than I could imagine.

I thought that we should give him a chance. I didn't think that he could be that bad. Boy was I wrong.

I was depressed. I knew it was going to be bad but I had no idea just how bad. It was worse than I expected.
