I don't know why but I don't shop there as there are plenty of other places that sell lawn mowers. I bought a new mower at Home Depot yesterday to replace my old one which I bought new over 25 years ago which still runs.

They look at ease of handling and volume sales. LM are hard to handle, come with a warranty, needs a service center, occupy a lot of space on the floor & in the store room & then EVERY OTHER STORE IS SELLING THEM so why bother? Way too much competition. Not worth it. So they sell other Junk. They could not survive in my town against the Super Store, Costco, Walmart, Sears, Home Depot, Revy, Home Hardware, and I missed about another 2 dozen stores within a 10 radius. Target has Junk. Many people visited ONCE and never again. It closed its doors in 4 months. It had a target on its back and it was neutralized.

WhenTarget stores opened their aisles, they reduced the merchandiseselection in other departments. Specifically the Garden Center.
At least, that is what happened at my local Target store.

Target markets to females. If you don't believe it, stand at the door for 10 minutes and count the number of males and females that enter the store. Then go to Walmart and do the same count. Then go to Home Depot and do the same count. You will see that each store has a different ratio of customers.
