When I was just out of college my boss took the crew to dinner at Cattleman's Steak House in Oklahoma City. He told me to cut my potato open and add sour cream, bacon, chives and shredded cheddar cheese to the 'tater then mash it through. It was a religious experience. I'll never forget that spud.

Try:
* smoked paprika
* fresh ground pepper
* perhaps horseradish
* butter
* sour cream
* grated cheese
* Mrs. Dash w/o salt
* herbs, like parsley, chopped green onions, garlic powder. Oregano and my favorite, rosemary (the rosemary is used on the potatoes before you roast them. )
* a drizzle of Extra Virgin Olive Oil is good, too.
Rather than using your typical table salt, lookup the properties of Sea Salt and Pink Himalayan Salt. Either of those may be worth investigating .
