Quick recipe for Houmus - quickly?

We are off out to a friends house in a while and would like a suggestion for how to quickly make houmus, using canned chick-peas & garlic.

Has anyone got a good fast recipe (inc. method)? Please, let me know how YOU make it - not just a copy and paste from another site.

Mucho appreciato!

mash the chickpeas, toss in a little olive oil, a dash of black pepper or red pepper (whichever is handy), a little minced garlic (1 med clove per can of peas). If I'm feeling adventurous, I might toss in 2 or 3 chopped up sundried tomatoes.

    edit:

ah! I knew I forgot the lemon juice. I use fresh, the whole lemon. (small to med sized lemon)

    Hummus (authentic)

    3 cups dry garbanzo beans

    3/4 cup tahini paste

    2 cloves garlic

    1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil

    1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

    1 teaspoon ground cumin (optional)

    salt to taste

1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling

    1 tsp paprika

Drain the beans. Reserve a small handful of the whole beans for a garnish. Transfer the rest to a blender or if you have a hand blender, a large bowl. Blend the beans and garlic until smooth, adding 1/2 cup of olive oil gradually. Add water if needed to help it blend. Add the tahini and blend in along with the lemon juice. Season with cumin, paprika and salt.

Spread the hummus into a flat serving dish and garnish with the reserved beans and a drizzle of olive oil.

throw the chick peas and garlic into a food processor and add olive oil. Blend until it is well mixed, but still kind of thick.

    have fun.
