How can I transfer titles from my Austar (Foxtel) box to DVD?

I've recently upgraded from standard Austar to MyStar (the same as Foxtel IQ), and have recorded several shows from both Austar channels and free-to-air (received via my Austar box). The trouble is, the recording capacity of the Austar box is pretty small and there are a few shows I'd like to keep copies of on DVD (eg. the AFL Grand Final). I need to somehow re-route my Austar signal through my HDD/DVD Recorder. Despite spending several hours swapping plugs around this evening, I haven't been able to work it out. Any suggestions?

Look on the back of the Austar and see if it has a line one output. If it does, connect the line one output to the recorder and make sure that the recorder is set to L1. Put on the show you want to record and press record on the dvd recorder.
